Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, who is struggling with majority's woes, has dissuaded former CM Vasundhara Raje from vacating the government residence. Former CM Vasundhara Raje can stay in the bungalow till this term and if elected MLA again. The Gehlot government decided that as long as a former chief minister remains MLA, they will get a Type One category residence.

Raje is allotted the residence number-13 of type one category near the Chief Minister's House in Jaipur's Civil Lines. Raje has been living in this residence since 2008. When she was CM from the year 2013 to 2018, then as Chief Minister also lived in this bungalow. It was declared CM House. The Rajasthan government has put four bungalows, including Raje's bungalow, from the General Administration Department into the assembly pool. Now, these bungalows can be allocated to former Chief Minister, Cabinet Minister in the Central Government, or State Minister and three times Member of Legislative Assembly or Cabinet Minister in Rajasthan Government and twice as Member of Legislative Assembly or twice-pastor.

With this decision, the Gehlot government has found a way to allocate out-of-turn bungalows to the leaders of this area. In 2019, the Rajasthan High Court ordered former Chief Ministers to vacate the government bungalow. There was also a government bungalow of Vasundhara Raje. Despite the order of Rajasthan High Court, the government dissuaded Raje from vacating the bungalow. However, the bungalow was evacuated from Congress leader and former Chief Minister Jagannath Pahadia. Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot has alleged collusion between Raje and Gehlot for not vacating the bungalow.
