New Delhi: The companies that contracted the Bandar diamond project in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, want to get the mine studied before investing. Companies like Vedanta, Adani and Fura Gems line up to get the contract for this mine. Companies want to see whether the number of diamonds being reported in the mine, whether they are available or not and the quality of diamonds. On his demand, the government has given him a month to study.

The Department of Mineral Resources has also extended the time to participate in the tender to 20 October. Tenders were called for earlier by 23 September. A dozen companies have been involved in the tender process.
