After winning the hearts of the audience with performanc in Sanju, Manmarziyan and other films Vicky is all set to be seen in Karan Johar’s Takht. Based on the story of Mughal history, Takht includes an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Karan Johar has taken into account Vicky Kaushal's rising star status and gone back to the writing table.  The report states that Karan Johar has rewritten Vicky Kaushal's role in Takht for a meatier one. It adds that the rewritten role will equal Ranveer Singh's role in the film. Vicky will be essaying the role of Aurangazeb whereas Ranveer will be seen as Dara Shikoh, elder brother of Aurangzeb, who was killed by the latter for the throne.
