On Saturday, a video of Akhilesh Narayan Singh, SP City of Meerut went viral across the country. After the video went viral, a debate broke out between the veteran leaders. Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has said that if this video is true then it is condemnable and the action should be taken immediately.

In his statement, the Union Minister said, 'If it is true that SP has given this statement in the video, then it is condemnable. Immediate action should be taken against them.' He further said, 'Violence at any level, be it by police or by the mob is unacceptable. It cannot be a part of a democratic country. The police should take care that those who are innocent should not suffer.'

Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati called the viral video of Meerut SP City Akhilesh Narayan as unfortunate. She has also demanded the sacking of Meerut SP City.

1 The Muslims living in the entire country including Uttar Pradesh for years are Indians and not the Pakistanis. During Uttar Pradesh protests, Meerut SP city of Uttar Pradesh communal language/remarks towards them is extremely condemnable and unfortunate.

2. All such policemen should have a high-level judicial inquiry and if they get the right evidence of being guilty then he should be dismissed immediately. 

Mayawati tweeted that Muslims living in the entire country including Uttar Pradesh for years are Indians and not communal language/remarks made against them by Pakistan ie Meerut SP City of Uttar Pradesh, especially during the protests of CAA / NRC, is unfortunate.

When the video went viral, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi said 'The Constitution of India does not allow the use of this language with any citizen and when you are an officer in an important position, then the responsibility increases further. BJP has so much communal poison in the institutions that today the officers have no respect for swearing in the constitution.'
