Lucknow: Apple employee Vivek Tiwari’s family finally cremated the body of Vivek on Sunday morning after the government sanctioned compensation of Rs 25 lakh. The family also demanded for an inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to UP government.

Vivek’s wife Kalpana Tiwari demanded the strict action against the constable and questioned that Why did police killed Vivek without any warning? She further added that He was not a criminal. We want the chief minister to announce a CBI investigation into his death to ensure the strictest punishment to his killers.

She had written a letter to UP CM demanding 1 crore as compensation and a police job as per her qualification.

The accused constable Prashant Chowdhary claimed that Vivek Tiwari tried to run him over thrice when he asked the occupants in the vehicle to come out and he fired in self defence.

Tiwari’s brother-in-law, Vishnu Shukla claimed that it was a murder as he was shot from the front.

Vivek tiwari was the local employee of tech giant Apple who was allegedly shot by an Uttar Pradesh police constable on midnight on Friday in Lucknow. The bullet hit Vivek’s throat right below his chin and he died in hospital during treatment.
