Munger: Maa Chandika temple of Munger, Bihar, included in 52 Shaktipeeth, where even today devotees could not see Goddess. At the same time, the devotees are returning from the main gate by worshipping. There is disappointment among devotees for not having a mother's Darshan. The sanctum sanctorum of the temple is still filled with water up to 5-6 feet. According to the temple priest, this is the second time in 2019 after 1971 that the mother's womb has been filled with water in Navratra.

The priest said that the devotees were able to see the mother after worship on the sixth day in 1971, but this is the first time that Ganga water is filled in the mother's womb at Ashtami of Navratri this year. It is noteworthy that the left eye of Mata Sati is worshiped here. It is believed that when Vishnu made 52 pieces of Sati Mata from the Sudarshan Chakra, her left eye fell here. Along with this, Chandisthan is also mentioned in the stories of King Karna and Vikramaditya in Dwapara Yuga. People suffering from incurable diseases of the eyes come here to worship and take kajal.

Nine days of Navratri are worshiped here with great pomp and the devotees of the surrounding districts including the city come to offer water in Navratri. The district administration closed the temple and issued an order to worship the devotees at the main gate.
