Meteorological Department predicts heavy rain in these states in the next 24 hours

New Delhi: According to the Indian Meteorological Department, moderate to heavy rains are expected over central Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa, interior Karnataka, some areas of Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during the next 24 hours.

According to the Meteorological Department, the south-west monsoon has departed from Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi along with most parts of Punjab. With this, farewell has started from parts of Uttar Pradesh as well as from West Madhya Pradesh, and most parts of East Rajasthan and West Rajasthan. Conditions remain favourable for the departure of the monsoon over the next two days from some areas of Northwest India, parts of Eastern India and many parts of Central India.

According to sources, this is the first time since 1960, when the monsoon is returning so late. In October, Rajasthan received 398 percent more rainfall and 399 percent more rainfall than normal. Apart from this, Himachal Pradesh received 91 percent more than normal, 113 percent in Uttarakhand, 131 percent in Punjab and 64 percent in Madhya Pradesh.
