New Delhi: Rain has been continuing in some parts of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana including the country's capital Delhi since midnight. In Delhi, clouds continued to thunder all night. It continues intermittently in the morning. This has added to the cold wave. Rain is likely to occur in the capital and adjoining areas in the next few hours. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had already predicted that rain could occur in the capital and adjoining areas.

In Lucknow, people leaving for work early in the morning due to rain had a lot of problems. They are either working from home or taking a cab to go to the office. According to the MET department, it may be cloudy throughout the day and intermittent rain. The MET department had alerted that light to moderate rain is expected in Delhi as well as Ghaziabad, Dadri, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad during the next few hours. The rain has intensified the cold wave conditions in the capital. Air pollution along with winter has also created trouble for Delhiites. Air pollution may decline to some extent after the rains.
According to the MET department, the rain will start with moderate to the heavy intensity with thundershowers in some time. The Department has said that rain is also expected in the entire NCR i.e.
