Kolkata: West Bengal's election results are coming today. Many VIPs of the state are eagerly awaiting these results. Nandigram is the seat in Bengal which currently remains the highest-profile seat in the country. CM Mamata Banerjee is contesting from this seat and is contesting from the seat, while her lieutenant Suvendu Adhikari till a few months ago. Suvendu officials are trying their luck from Nandigram. Locket Chatterjee

Talking about the second VIP in the state, Locket Chatterjee's name is also in the news in the Bengal assembly elections. His importance can be gauged from the fact that even after being an MP, the party fielded him for the assembly elections. Locket Chatterjee, an MP from Hooghly Lok Sabha seat, defeated Ratna Dey (Nag) of Trinamool Congress (TMC) by 73,362 votes. TMC's Asit Majumdar is challenging him from this seat.

Babul Supriyo

West Bengal's Tollygunge assembly seat is also among the VIP names in the battle. Bjp MP from Asansol and former Union minister Babul Supriyo is contesting from this seat on a BJP ticket. Voting was held on April 10 in this seat. Babul Supriyo is challenging Arup Biswas, PW minister in the Mamata government.

Swapan Dasgupta

Another name in the Bengal elections has been in the big limelight, which is BJP candidate Swapan Dasgupta. Former journalist Swapan Dasgupta has been fielded by the saffron party from the Tarakeswar assembly seat in Hooghly district. He was earlier a Rajya Sabha member but had to resign from the Rajya Sabha membership to contest the assembly elections.  Ramendu Singha Roy of TMC is contesting from the Tarakeswar seat.
