Lucknow: The bail of Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni, accused of trampling farmers with a jeep in Lakhimpur Kheri, has been canceled by the Supreme Court. Along with this, the Supreme Court has asked Ashish to surrender within a week. After this, Rakesh Tikait, now the leader of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) and the face of the agricultural movement, has welcomed the decision of the top court. He has said that the country can run well if the court uses its power.

Rakesh Tikait, reacting to the cancellation of Ashish Mishra's bail, told a media that, 'The Supreme Court does the right thing, if allowed to work. If Ashish Mishra has a week's time then he should surrender. At the same time, regarding the Supreme Court's comment on the Allahabad High Court's decision, Tikait said that he does not want to say anything on it. Only the court can tell the court anything. However, he also said that the entire country was assuming that wrong had happened.

Rakesh Tikait refused to accept it as defeat or victory and said that it is a matter of justice and injustice. He said, 'There is a bigger court than the Parliament. When the court uses its power, the country will run fine. Governments were not agreeing. Adhering to the decision of the court itself. There should have been lobbying from the government, but laxity was done. The government should stand with the aggrieved side, but the government stood with its minister.
