Jaipur: In Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot had completed the recruitment of Mahatma Gandhi Seva Preraks to propagate the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi. Seva motivators used to spread peace and non-violence. The motivators were also given an honorarium of Rs 4500. Gehlot government had taken applications for 50 thousand posts in August 2023. Due to this decision of Bhajanlal government, 50 thousand youth may become unemployed. Earlier Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Mitra Internship was discontinued. Due to the closure of this scheme, about 50 thousand youth became unemployed. Now the closure of both the schemes is going to have a direct impact on about one lakh youth. 

Gehlot government had recruited motivators: Reports say that under the scheme, Mahatma Gandhi Seva Prerak recruitment was also done by the Peace and Non-Violence Department for all the revenue villages and all the wards of the urban areas of all the districts of Rajasthan. For this, it was decided to keep the minimum age at 21 years and maximum age at 50 years. The age is going to be calculated considering 2023 as the base. In the recruitment process, relaxation was also given to reserved category candidates as per the rules.

The objective of the scheme was to spread the message of peace and non-violence of Mahatma Gandhi. Under the scheme, an honorarium of Rs 4500 was also given to the selected candidates. PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasara has said in this regard that "Cancellation of the recruitment process of Mahatma Gandhi Seva Preraks is an attack on the future of the youth. The work of Seva Preraks was also to spread non-violence, love and peace.
