Bangalore: Karnataka High Court Judge HP Sandesh has alleged that he is being given transfer threats. He says the threats have been received due to comments made about the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and the ADGP. However, he has clarified that he is not afraid of these kinds of things. He had raised questions about the ACB's action and called it a "hub of corruption."

In fact, the bail plea of Mahesh PS, a former tehsildar of the Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commissioner's office, was heard on Monday. Mahesh is allegedly accused of taking a bribe of Rs 5 lakh in May 2021. He told the court that he had taken the bribe on the directions of the then Deputy Commissioner J Manjunath. It is noteworthy that a few days after the hearing on Monday, the ACB had informed about the arrest of IAS officer Manjunath.

On Monday, Justice Sandesh said he had been told by fellow judges that he may be transferred, as the ADGP was not pleased with his comments. He has said, "Your ACB, ADGP seem to be a powerful person. I have been told by a fellow judge that my transfer may have taken place because of the comments. I will also include the threat of transfer in the order.''
