Indian cricket's new chairman of selectors will be MSK Prasad, who is replacing Sandeep Patil. The former Indian wicket-keeper will represent South Zone in the five-man senior selection panel.

On Wednesday, the Annual General Meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India held at Mumbai in which the decision to name the senior selection committee was taken.

According to Lodha panel guidelines, “the names of the selection committee will be forwarded to the Supreme Court-appointed body for approval.”

MSK Prasad is a former Indian stumper and played six Tests and 17 ODIs.
