Mumbai: There can be a big political upheaval in Maharashtra in the coming days. Amid speculations about NCP leader Ajit Pawar joining BJP, it is coming to light that Ajit Pawar is once again gathering support in the party to become an ally with BJP-Shinde. According to sources, out of 53 NCP MLAs, around 30-34 MLAs have given their support to Ajit Pawar to join hands with the BJP and become a part of the Shinde-Fadnavis government.
It is being told that prominent faces like Praful Patel, Sunil Tatkare, Chhagan Bhujbal, and Dhananjay Munde are with Ajit Pawar. State NCP unit presidents Jayant Patil and Jitendra Awadh are against joining hands with the BJP. The Ajit Pawar faction met Sharad Pawar and told him that the party's MLAs are keen to forge an alliance with the BJP. Although Sharad Pawar has categorically refused to form an alliance with the BJP, Shinde However, in the market committee elections to be held in Maharashtra, the NCP has tied up with the BJP, and both are going to contest the elections together.
Sharad Pawar had told Sanjay Raut that if people go, then he will be an MLA (he will go personally as an MLA) and the party will not go. If we look at the numerical strength in the assembly, then the Shinde-BJP faction is heavily represented. But if Ajit and NCP MLAs join hands with Shinde-BJP for Lok Sabha, then it can be a clean sweep situation for the NDA.
