Ahmadabad: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national president and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has started a fresh debate over the upcoming assembly elections in Gujarat. In fact, Kejriwal has asked whether the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going to announce Union Home Minister Amit Shah as its CM candidate in Gujarat. He also asked if the BJP is upset with the work of the current CM (Bhupendra Patel).
Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal tweeted from his official Twitter handle, "Aam Aadmi Party is growing rapidly in Gujarat. The BJP is badly rattled. Is it true that in the upcoming assembly elections, the BJP is going to declare Amit Shah Ji as the CM face in Gujarat? Is the BJP also angry with Bhupendrabhai Patel's work?'' Let me tell you that Arvind Kejriwal's claim comes at a time when he is making a series of visits to Gujarat to sharpen his party's preparations.
With populist promises like 300 units of free electricity per month and providing jobs to all the youth in 5 years, Kejriwal is trying to make a dent in the BJP's strongest stronghold. The AAP, which has formed the government in Delhi and Punjab, is now gearing up for the assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.
