Melbourne: The final match of the T20 World Cup 2022 will be played between England and Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Stadium (MCG) in Melbourne on Sunday (November 13). There is a threat of rain on the match on both Sunday and Reserve Day (Monday). In such a situation, there is also a possibility of both teams becoming joint winners. At present, Melbourne has a 95 per cent chance of rain on Sunday. Rainfall up to 25 mm is expected during this time.

According to the report, the Meteorological Department has said that the probability of rain is almost 100 per cent. Heavy rain may occur with thunderstorms. Not only this but 95 per cent rain is also expected for the match on 'Reserve Day' i.e. Monday. There may be 5 to 10 mm of rain on this day. For the final match, the rules of the tournament are that both teams must play at least 10 overs to result in a knockout stage match. England and Pakistan will have to share the trophy in case both days' play is not played due to rain.

According to the report, there will be an attempt to complete the match on Sunday itself. This means that if 10-10 overs are played on Sunday, then there will be no match on reserve day. If the match starts on Sunday and is not completed, the next day the match will start from where it stopped. After the toss, the match will be considered live.

According to Australian time, the match will start at 7 pm. It will start at 3 pm local time on Reserve Day. If the match starts on a Sunday and the overs are cut, but the game cannot start due to weather, a 20-over match will be played on the reserve day. Only 30 minutes of extra time has been allotted for the final match on Sunday. If a reserve day is used, four additional hours will be available. Even after this, if both the teams are unable to play 10-10 overs, then England and Pakistan will be declared joint winners.
