Why does the epidemic coronavirus kill more men than women? This question has been asked for a long time and now researchers have found the answer. Researchers have outlined many reasons for this.

Since the onset of the epidemic, it has been observed that men are at greater risk than women. So far, the number of men who have died from Corona is the largest number of men. Many kinds of arguments have been given behind this, but now scientists have found out the real reason. Research published in the journal 'Nature' states that around 60% of the deaths from corona globally were men. The lead author of the research, Professor Akiko Iwasaki of Yale University, said, 'We found that men and women have created different types of immune responses against corona'.

Scientists collected nose, saliva, and blood samples from patients who were uninfected and admitted to Yale New Haven Hospital in the US for treatment. He then monitored the patients to understand their immune responses. Researchers found that women have a more robust immune response, including T lymphocytes. T lymphocytes are a type of white blood cell that can recognize and eliminate the virus. T lymphocytes are present in older women, which makes them better able to cope with the corona than men. In contrast, T-cell activity in males has been found to be relaxing.
