Tajamul Islam of Srinagar won a gold medal in the Under-14 category of the World Kickboxing Championship on October 22 in Cairo, Egypt. In the World Kickboxing Championship final, Islam defeated an Argentine player. "I had four fights: two with Egypt, a semi-final with France, and the World Kickboxing Championship final against Argentina," Islam stated.
