The World Standards Day celebrated every year on 14th October 2020. Standards have a very different significance in everyone's life. Standards are considered important, especially among regulators, consumers, and industry-related people. The standards help in improving products and services. This is also because every day a person is confronted with products and services.

If the standards are not properly adhered to, there will be difficulties in the life of the individual. The day is observed to honour the efforts of thousands of experts who developed voluntary standards within the development organizations of the standards. At that time, it was expected that whatever work is being done towards global standardization at the international level, it was also benefited by the developing countries. Not only that, but it will also change the socio-economic level.

They are the standards from which machines, parts and products are aligned. In many things in life, we use standards only if they go and meet it. For example, using an alarm to wake up in the morning. If standards do not work, there may be major accidents.
