New Delhi: Hearing is going on in the Supreme Court on a petition filed against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president and BJP MP Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh for alleged sexual harassment of women wrestlers. The matter is being heard by a bench headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud Singh.

Today i.e. on Wednesday (May 3) during the hearing of the case, the counsel appearing for the wrestlers sought permission to file some documents in a sealed cover in the Supreme Court. The counsel for the wrestlers told CJI DY Chandrachud that, 'This is a case related to molestation of women wrestlers. Can I file a sealed cover in court? This is something that cannot be kept in the public domain.' CJI DY Chandrachud gave permission on this.

After this, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing in the Supreme Court on behalf of the Delhi Police, said, 'The matter is already under investigation. Why don't you show it (the facts in the envelope) to the investigating agency? You let me share it with the Investigating Officer (IO).' On this, the lawyer appearing for the wrestlers said, 'Definitely there is no problem, but I will argue with you tomorrow.'
