New Delhi: Yashasvi Jaiswal showcased his exceptional form in international cricket by notching up a splendid century during the ongoing second Test between India and England at Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium. In the first Test, he had missed out on a century, but this time, Jaiswal made amends by smashing his second Test century and third overall. Achieving this milestone in an impressive style, Jaiswal boldly danced down the track and hit Tom Hartly for a massive six, completing his century in just 151 balls. His fearless approach in the 'nervous nineties' added flair to the remarkable moment.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who made a significant impact in IPL 2023, seamlessly transitioned into international cricket. With just under seven months into his international career, Jaiswal has already notched up three centuries. He holds the distinction of being the only batsman to score two centuries in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle. His debut international century came against the West Indies in July 2023, followed by his maiden T20I century against Nepal at the Hangzhou Asian Games 2023.

Despite missing a century in the opening Test in Hyderabad, where he was dismissed for 80 by Joe Root, Jaiswal bounced back with a spectacular performance in the second Test. Partnering with Shreyas Iyer, Jaiswal steadied India's innings with a crucial 90-run partnership for the fourth wicket. However, the partnership was broken by Tom Hartley, who dismissed Iyer for 27 in the 51st over of the day. Jaiswal's remarkable achievement adds another feather to his burgeoning international career.
