Bhopal:  It rained in areas of Bundelkhand, Vindhya, Chambal. It also rained half-inch in cities including Nagaon, Rewa, Satna. The temperature dropped 0.3 degree in Bhopal.

According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon may hit Kerala coast on June 1. The department had earlier expressed its hope of it reaching Kerala on 5 June. The department has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms with rain and cold winds from May 29 to June 1 in eastern and western Madhya Pradesh. Scientist PK Saha told that there was heatwave in Narsinghpur, Damoh, Khargone and Sidhi on Thursday. Except for Narsinghpur, there was no temperature above 45 degrees.

Senior mass scientist AK Shukla says that the trough line has remained from Punjab to Chhattisgarh. It is passing through northern Madhya Pradesh including Chambal, Sagar and Gwalior divisions. Due to this, there was rain in many areas of MP. The conditions have been favourable for the monsoon due to the formation of cyclonic pressure in the Bay of Bengal. There is a possibility of low pressure in the southeast and the east-central Arabian Sea from 31 May to 4 June.
