Lucknow: Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government in Uttar Pradesh will build 328 feet statue of Lord Ram at the bank of Saryu River in Ayodhya. The CM is expected to share this news on festival of light Diwali. According to reports the statue will be constructed at a cost of Rs 330 crore. It will be installed on a 36-metre high pedestal near the river.

Worth mention here the saffron party is already under pressure from the RSS – right wing to bring an ordinance for Ram temple construction. RSS said on Friday that Hindus were feeling "insulted" by the Supreme Court's announcement that the Ayodhya issue is not a priority and  asserted that an ordinance would be needed if all options run out.

After a three-day RSS conclave here in Maharashtra, its general secretary Bhaiyyaji Joshi stated that the organisation  will not hesitate to launch a protest for Ram temple, if needed, but since the matter is in the Top Court, there are restrictions.

He noted this when asked whether the Sangh will launch a protest for Ram temple construction like in the 1990s.
