Lucknow: Following the BJP's landslide victory in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022, preparations for the swearing-in ceremony of CM-designate Yogi Adityanath and his Cabinet are well on. According to reports, CM Yogi is set to take the oath of office for the second time on March 21. The reports come as the names of ministers for the new cabinet are being finalised. Sources said that scores of beneficiaries of different initiatives launched by the BJP administrations at the centre and in Uttar Pradesh are expected to attend the Yogi Adityanath 2.0 government's swearing-in ceremony.
The oath-taking ceremony will be attended by beneficiaries of the PM Awas Yojana, PM Kisan Yojana, free ration plan, those receiving financial assistance through DBT, CM Awas Yojana, and Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojna. The ceremony is currently being planned in Lucknow's Ekana Stadium. However, there is no word on when the new government's oath of office would be administered.
On Wednesday, the BJP's Uttar Pradesh core committee convened a six-hour meeting to discuss the state's government formation.
In the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the BJP came out on top, obtaining 255 seats. With 111 seats, the Samajwadi Party was the second-largest party. Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) received only one seat, while the Congress received two.
