Lucknow: After the encounter of Vikas Dubey, the Yogi government has started a decisive campaign against criminals in UP. In this sequence, major action has been taken against the gang of mafia don Mukhtar Ansari of Purvanchal. Many of Mukhtar Ansari's associates have been arrested. The properties of many close to Mukhtar have been attached. Gangster Act has been imposed on 8 people of Mukhtar Gang.
5 gang miscreants have been arrested. Arms licenses of 3 relatives of Mukhtar Ansari have been revoked. The property of Mukhtar gang shooter Prakash Mishra, Brijesh Sonkar has been seized. The UP police is engaged in wiping out the Mukhtar gang operating in several districts of Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Chandauli and Purvanchal. Gangster Act has been imposed on 8 mafias of Mukhtar gang who illegally run slaughterhouses in UP.
UP police has arrested 5 gang members, as well as 3 have declared a reward of 25000. Action is also being taken to confiscate their properties. In UP's Mau district, a reward of 25-25 thousand has been announced on 11 gangs of illegal recovery gang of Mukhtar. Orders have been given to arrest these miscreants soon.
