New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs has declared Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) as an illegal association and banned it for five years by issuing a notification. The ministry has said in the notification that the speeches of IRF founder Zakir Naik were highly objectionable. He has been openly praising terrorists, and also declares that every Muslim should be a terrorist.

The notification further states that the founder of IRF is also promoting forced conversion of youth to Islam, justifying suicide bombings, making derogatory remarks against Hindus, Hindu deities and other religions, which are against other religions. are hurtful. The notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs said, "Naik has been encouraging Muslim youth and terrorists to commit terrorist acts in India and abroad." The notification of the Ministry of Home Affairs also said that illegal activities of IRF, its members and sympathizers have been observed in Gujarat, Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Kerala, Maharashtra and Odisha.
