Centre to give more clarity on 'debt recovery infrastructure' to SC

Today, the Supreme court has asked the centre to give more clarity on the debt recovery infrastructure. The bench passed the order after hearing the plea filed by Lawyer Prashant Bhushan. In which it is mentioned that the Non Performing Assets is increasing and debt recovery process has failed in completing its duty in recovering the loans.

He also requested the court to ask banks to give a transparent and rational manner in which they will lend the money. The amount of NPAs had exceeded over Rs 1.85 crore, the lawyer stated in the petition.

The three judge bench headed by Chief Justice Tirath Singh Thakur passed the order.
