Bangalore: At least 11 people have died in a tragic road accident in Dharwad district of Karnataka on Friday morning. The incident occurred when the tempo traveller and a tipper collided with each other. The collision was so horrific that ten women and the driver who were sitting got died.

The women who lost their lives are said to have been associated with the women's Club in Davangere. All of them were going to Goa, only then this accident has taken place in Dharwad.  Another five persons are reported to be seriously injured in the incident and two have minor injuries. All of them have been admitted to the Kims Hospital at Hubli for treatment. Where they are being treated.

District Superintendent of Police Krishna Kant has reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and has started rescue and relief operations. A case has been registered in Dharwad rural police station. The death of 11 people has created a sensation in the area.
