Shimla: In the country's state of Himachal Pradesh, 19th died happened due to COVID-19. The 48-year-old woman was undergoing treatment at Tanda Hospital. The report came positive the previous day itself, after which the woman was shifted to Covid Hospital Dharamshala. The woman died on Wednesday morning. The woman was from Dalhousie area of Chamba. DC Rakesh Prajapati has confirmed the death of the woman.

An employee of Himachal Pradesh University has been found to be COVID-19 positive. The travel history of the infected worker is being told from Chandigarh. The infected employee's department has been sealed. EC, court elections can also be postponed after the case of infection in HPU.

The employees' union is meeting the vice-chancellor to demand the HPU be blocked for 7 days. Significantly, this is the second COVID-19 positive case in HPU. Earlier, a worker in University Business School was found infected. There have been three COVID-19 positive cases in Bilaspur city. There have been two COVID-19 positive cases in Kullu city which includes a soldier of an army and a woman. Army personnel have come from Kerala, while the woman is undergoing treatment at IGMC Shimla. Police has quarantined nine people of the family who came under the primary contact of the woman. The cases of COVID-19 are increasing continuously in the state.
