New Delhi: About 20 lakh cases of coronavirus have been reported in the month of August in India. This is the highest number of reported cases in any country during any given month. Virus deaths in the country have also seen an increase. 28,859 patients died in August. This number is 50 percent more than the previous month.

According to the data received from the state governments, 19,87,705 cases have been reported in India in the month of August. This is the largest number of cases reported in any country in a month. This is more than the maximum number of cases (19,04,462) reported in the US in July. Although Corona has killed more people in the US and Brazil than India. As of August 30, 31,000 people have died in the United States due to infection. In Brazil, 29,565 people have lost their lives due to the virus.

The total number of corona cases in India is 36.8 lakhs. Out of this, 28.3 lakh patients have become healthy while there are about 7.9 lakh active cases in the country. India is second in terms of active case of infection. In the first place, America has 25.6 lakh cases. In India, the virus has killed 65,373 people so far. 1.87 people lost their lives in the US and 1.2 lakh in Brazil.
