Patna: These days due to floods in Bihar, there is chaos in many areas. Many rivers are flowing above the danger mark. 69,03,640 people have been affected due to floods in Bihar while 21 people have lost their lives. According to the state government, 33 teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and SDRF have been deployed so far to deal with the floods that affect many districts in Bihar.

All the teams of NDRF and SDRF are engaged in rescue and relief work in the flood-affected districts. According to the data released by the state government on Thursday, a number of relief camps have been set up in several districts, while 1,402 community kitchens have also been started amid the current flood situation. Meanwhile, 12,239 people are still taking shelter in relief camps. So far 23 animals have died due to floods in the state.

Earlier, the state CM Nitish Kumar had expressed condolences in three incidents of boat overturns in the flood-hit districts of the state, Khagaria, Saharsa and Darbhanga and directed the district administration to provide compensation to the family members of the deceased. CM Nitish also made an aerial tour of the flood-affected areas of the state on Wednesday. CM Nitish also inspected a flood relief camp and a community kitchen for flood victims in Darbhanga.
