Moga: After buying a new car, the persons who had gone to worship at Mata's temple met with an accident while returning to their village. His pickup vehicle rammed into the bus parked on the road from behind. 4 persons including a 3-month-old baby died in this accident. At the same time, 17 people have been injured. The condition of three of these persons is serious. All are undergoing treatment in the hospital. 

Actually, the family living in Dhilwa Bala village of Moga district had bought a Mahindra pickup vehicle. The family members had come to the Kali Mata temple in Patiala in a pick-up carrying some of their relatives. Thereafter, all were going back to their village on Sunday morning in the same pickup. There were about 25 people in the pickup. On Sunday morning, when the pickup reached Clodi village on the Chandigarh-Bathinda highway, due to fog, the pickup driver could not see the bus waiting to take a ride at the Phalodi village bus stand and the speeding pickup rammed into the bus from behind.

After the same accident, there was a hue and cry at the spot. Many people were seriously injured. The persons present on the spot immediately informed the police and an ambulance was also called. The police reached the spot with great difficulty and after helping the people, 21 injured persons were taken to the Sangrur hospital for treatment. A woman and a man, including a 3-month-old baby, and a 25-year-old girl, died in the accident. On the other hand, three of the injured persons who reached Sangrur Hospital for treatment were referred to Patiala due to their serious condition. Dr. Kripal Singh, Senior Medical Officer, Sangrur Civil Hospital said that he was hit by a pickup vehicle. 21 injured persons were brought to the hospital, Out of which 4 have died. 3 people have been referred to Patiala. The treatment of the remaining 14 people is going on in the hospital. Sangrur's SDM Navneet Kaur said that today a very tragic road accident took place in Sangrur, in which 4 people died. The injured persons are undergoing treatment at Sangrur hospital.
