New Delhi: As fast as the cases of corona infection are increasing in the country, the number of people who beat the disease is increasing at almost the same pace. Giving information on Thursday, the Central Government said that so far more than 29 lakh patients have recovered from Corona. This number is three and a half times that of active patients.

Rajesh Bhushan, Secretary, Ministry of Health has said in the press conference that, "29.70 lakh patients have been cured so far, which is 3.5 times of the active case. So far, we have done more than 40 million tests in the country. 11,72,000 tests have been done in the last 24 hours. 62% of the total active cases of coronavirus are from five states. This includes Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. Rajesh Bhushan said that Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra accounted for 70 per cent of the total deaths".

The number of deaths in Andhra Pradesh has decreased by 4.5% in a week, while Maharashtra has recorded a decline of 11.5% and Tamil Nadu 18.2%. There has been a decline of seven per cent inactive cases in Maharashtra in the last three weeks. On the rising cases of coronavirus in the country, the Ministry of Health has said that every day positive cases are increasing. It should be viewed according to the total population.
