31 inmates found HIV positive in Noida jail, stir in the dept

New Delhi: A piece of big has come to the fore from Noida. Here, 31 inmates have tested positive for HIV in a jail in Gautam Budh Nagar i.e. Noida, adjacent to the country's capital Delhi. After the report came out, there has been a stir in the jail administration and the district health department. At present, all the patients are being treated at the district hospital. According to the report, the health check-up of the prisoners was done by setting up a health camp in Gautam Budh Nagar jail. During this time 31 prisoners have been found infected with HIV.  

After such a large number of prisoners were found HIV positive, the jail administration spoke to the health department in a hurry and started the treatment of all the prisoners at the Antiretroviral Therapy Center in Sector 30 District Hospital. Pawan Kumar, CMS of Noida District Hospital, has informed that the screening was done in the jail on the orders of the state government. About 2,650 prisoners were examined, out of which 31 prisoners have been found HIV positive. At present, all have been given ART medicines. All are being treated. The district hospital team in the jail does skinning every year. Patients who come positive are being given proper treatment.

Earlier, 140 inmates were found HIV positive in Ghaziabad's Dasna jail. 17 patients with TB were also found here. The news of 140 prisoners being infected with HIV stirred the jail administration. All these detainees are being treated by the AIDS Control Society. After the report of the prisoners came, the jail administration said that there was nothing to panic about. The patients are undergoing treatment.
