Chandigarh: Corona epidemic has affected every state of the country. In the meantime, if we talk about Punjab, then the series of deaths due to COVID-19 infection in Punjab is not taking the name. Even on Friday, 49 persons infected with COVID-19 died in the state. Till date 1739 persons have died in the state. In the investigation conducted for 22992 people, 1498 people reported positive.

According to the same Family Welfare and Health Department, so far 1144008 suspected cases have come to light in the state. Of these, reports of 60013 people have come positive. 501 people have been placed on oxygen support if they have trouble breathing. The condition of 80 persons remains serious, so the department has placed them on ventilator. On Friday, 184-184 in Ludhiana and Patiala, 210 in Jalandhar, 92 in Amritsar, 92 in SAS Nagar, 138 in Sangrur, 36 in Bathinda, 101 in Bathinda, 108 in Gurdaspur, 57 in Ferozepur, 58-58 in Moga and Hoshiarpur, Pathankot. 13 new cases have been reported in Barnala 21, 12 in Fatehgarh Sahib, 43 in Kapurthala, 71 in Faridkot, 7 in Tarn Taran, 5 in Ropar, 34 in Fazilka, 10 in SBS Nagar, 36 in Sri Muktsar Sahib and 20 in Mansa. 

In the information given by the Health Department, it has been told that 11 such cases have come out, whose source is outside the state. Health workers have also started coming under increasing scope of COVID-19 infection. So far, the report of 948 health workers has come positive. A health worker posted in Barnala city has also died. The Health Minister has expressed deep grief over the death of the employee from the infection. With this, the cases of corona in the state are increasing day by day.
