Amravati: The criminal who killed Umesh Kolhe, who supported former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, has been attacked by five persons inside the jail. Umesh Kolhe, a resident of Amravati, was killed recently. A criminal arrested in this case has been attacked by 5 persons in jail. The police have registered a case.

The killer of Umesh Kolhe has been fatally attacked by criminals living in the same barrack. The criminals have been shifted to different barracks. It is being said that the culprit Shahrukh Pathan, arrested in the Umesh Kolhe murder case, has been attacked by 5 persons. A case has been registered at NM Joshi Marg police station in Mumbai over the attack. According to Amravati police, 54-year-old chemist Umesh Prahladrao Kolhe was killed on June 21 and seven persons have been arrested so far in this connection. The incident took place a week before the killing of a tailor, Kanhaiyalal, in Udaipur, Rajasthan.  

An official of Amravati City Kotwali had said, "Umesh Kolhe used to run a medical store in Amravati city. He had shared a post on some WhatsApp groups for his comments in support of Nupur Sharma. He had mistakenly shared the post in a group in which some Muslims were also members, including his customers.''
