76% reservation bill stuck with Governor, govt's problems increase

Raipur: After the reservation bill was passed in the Chhattisgarh Assembly, now the matter is stuck with the Governor. Now everyone's eyes are on the governor to give constitutional recognition to the bill, but Governor Anusuiya Uike has not yet signed it. At the same time, in this matter, the governor says that I had suggested the government to call a special session only to increase the reservation of the tribal class. But the government increased the reservation for all. Also said that when the court has declared 58 percent reservation as illegal, then how will the government defend 76 percent reservation?

Governor Anusuiya Uike, who reached Dhamtari, said on the reservation bill that the High Court had made the provision of 58 percent reservation illegal in the 2012 bill. Due to this, there was an atmosphere of dissatisfaction in the state. The reservation for tribals came down from 32 to 20 percent. After that, the Sarv Adivasi Samaj started a mass movement in the entire state. Social organizations and political parties gave application. After this, I wrote a letter to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. I was also taking information personally. I had demanded to call a session only for the tribal society.

The governor said that I had suggested that if you want to bring an ordinance, bring an ordinance, if you want to call a special session, then call it. Now in this bill, 27 percent reservation of OBC society, 4 percent of other societies, and 1 percent reservation of SC society have been increased. Now the question has come before me that when the court has declared 58 percent reservation as illegal, then how did it become 76 percent? Governor Uike said that if only the reservation for tribals had been increased, there would have been no problem. Now I have to see how the reservation for other classes has been fixed. What is the preparation of the roster? Organizations belonging to SC, ST, OBC, and the general category have given me an application demanding an inquiry into the bill. I am also testing those applications. It would not be right to sign without thinking.
