7th Pay Commission: Good News for Government Employees of this State

New Delhi: The Haryana government has ordered the implementation of the revised House Rent Allowance (HRA) for its employees from August 1 as per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission. The order has been issued as part of the announcement of CM Manohar Lal Khattar by the state Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu.

According to the information, employees will now get rent allowance of 8, 16 and 24 per cent of the basic salary under the population of cities. It was stated by the Finance Minister that as per the 2011 census, state government employees posted in different cities and towns of the state will get the revised house rent allowance and after this change, employees and officers will get benefit ranging from Rs 1190 to Rs 6,000.

The Haryana government has also fixed the minimum hra amount for population. About three lakh employees and officers of the state government will be benefited directly after the HRA is amended. Provincial General Secretary of the SSA Subhash Lamba has said that the revised HRA should be implemented from January 2016. While the government has decided to extend the HRA from August 1, the government has stifled a 43-month-long Rs 6808-crore aerial.
