Today's films end in two to two and a half hours, while the 1987 film The Cure for Insomnia is considered the longest film in the world due to its running time of 85 hours. The running time of this film filled with the poems of poet LD Groban is 5220 minutes, in which he is reading his poems. The name of this film is also recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records due to this specialty of director John Henry Timis IV.

According to media reports, The Cure for Insomnia, released on 31 January 1987, was run at The School in Chicago. The film was so big that even after running continuously, its end was completed on the next month of the next release i.e. February 3. Significantly, there is no story plot of any kind in the film, in this 85-hour cinema, poet LD Groban recites poems of about five thousand pages. While heavy metal music and pornography is shown somewhere in the rest of the film.

For the information, let us tell you that the film was made especially for people struggling with sleep problems. Due to this quality, The Cure for Insomnia is considered an experiment along with the film. Significantly, the film has never been released in DVD or any kind of home format. This is the reason that most of the copies of the film have been lost.
