Ranchi: Information has been revealed that 9 soldiers posted under the protection of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president and former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav tested corona positive. Lalu Prasad Yadav did not come in contact with any of them. At present, Lalu Prasad Yadav is an Admittant in the Ranchi Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) for treatment.

Umesh Prasad, a doctor of RIMS, had informed about the security of 9 Lalu Prasad Yadavs, who were found corona infected. It was told that other soldiers have been screened and posted in their place. Lalu's health is also being monitored. It is noteworthy that earlier on 25 July, three caretakers of Lalu Prasad Yadav were also found corona positive. Lalu was shifted to the hospital director's residence in August for treatment at RIMS. This decision was taken by the Prison Authority.

The hospital director's bungalow is in the hospital premises and was vacant at present. This decision was taken in view of the Corona pandemic. The BJP also accused the state government of giving special treatment to Lalu. The hospital staff had said that on the floor on which the Lalu Prasad Yadav was admitted, a lot of rooms were kept vacant for his safety which will now be used to treat corona positive patients.
