Anupam Kher and Director Mahesh Bhatt share a magnificent bond with each other. Anupam Kher played the role of a 65-year-old retired school teacher in his debut film, 'Saaransh' which was directed by Mahesh Bhatt.

The two are very fond of each other. Both of them have worked together in many films. Their bond and friendship are beyond the films. The bond which we see on camera is much more behind the camera. The veteran actor Anupam Kher follows a tradition of giving away a small amount from each of his projects to the filmmaker for the past three decades as a token of appreciation.

Anupam Kher everytime at every point of his life needs Mahesh Bhatt as a consultant and as a friend. He always consulted Bhatt for the professional choices.

The actor always present the director Bhatt some money as gratitude after his every movie. During a talk, Anupam Kher shared about his terms and bond with Mahesh Bhatt. He said, "I completed 34 years in movies. While everyone told me that playing a 65-year-old in Saaransh could have been the biggest mistake of my life, it became a defining moment of my life and there was no looking back. My ups and downs have taught me so much about people, life, and entertainment business. Thank you, Mahesh Bhatt  Saab, Rajshri Films and the audience for showering upon love and support."

Anupam Kher is nowadays busy in his upcoming political drama-'The Accidental Prime Minister', which is based on the 2014 memoir of the same name, written by Manmohan Singh's media adviser Sanjay Baru.
