India beats Bhutan in a clash in SAFF U-18 Championship

In the ongoing SAFF U-18 Championship played at the Changlimithang Stadium on Friday the Indian team came back from their defeat to Bangladesh as they beat  Bhutan in their second encounter.

Lalawmpuia in the 26th minute missed a penalty but scored a goal from a corner in the 38th minute. Asish Rai scored the final goal in injury time of the second half to secure victory for India.

India now with this win have reached to place third in the points table as they have three points from two matches in the tournament.
India started the encounter with Bhutan well as the latter couldn't string together a proper attack in the first 20 minutes of the game.

Abhisek Halder hit the post in the 19th minute and soon after India earned a penalty.The teams headed 1-0 into halftime as Deepak's point-blank header was kept out by the goalie.

In the second half to the India begin with the domination. Thus, winning over the Bhutan team.

Edmund could shot while Lalawmpuia attempt was saved by the Goalkeeper. After which the both the teams did some fouls and errors which led to the slowdown of the match.Roshan's blistering pace changed all that as his solo run on the counter was just about kept out with Edmund hitting the rebound just wide. 

India on September 25 is scheduled to have a match with Maldives.
