Christmas season is around the corner and this festival is celebrate all around the world. Christmas is always bitter-sweet for Evelyn Sharma. While the celebrations make her miserable about family and friends back home in Germany, the festival also serves as a gentle reminder to help those less fortunate.

This year, the actress, who has also founded an NGO, is spreading Christmas cheer among the needy by organising a garage sale. Entitled seams for dreams 4th Annual Christmas Garage Sale, it will be held on December 7 in Mumbai. The profits from the sale, which includes collections by renowned designers, stylists and even actors, will go to charity.

She says, "I started this NGO two-and-a-half years ago, as I felt that it's important to give back to the society. We collect clothes from people and distribute them among the poor." She adds, "As an actress, I would like to inspire people to help the underprivileged in some way. It is a fulfilling experience." The theme of the event will be German Christmas and Evelyn promises to give the guests the feel of a festive and snowy Germany.

On the work front, Evelyn is looking forward to her film 'Jack & Dil', in which she stars opposite Amit Sadh. The film, directed by Sachin P Karande, will release soon.
