Indian political parties are joining hands by leaving behind all enmities in their previous days for defeating the ruling party, Bhartiya Janta Party(BJP). Taking a dig into the matter the Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked that opposition parties are thinking for their own welfare and not for country’s peace and progress. While referring to Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party he said: “You can see the greed for power among those who talk of ‘samajwad’ and ‘bahujan’. They don’t see the welfare of society but only the welfare of themselves and their families,”.

Modi was addressing a huge audience on the 500th death anniversary of poet Kabir at Uttar Pradesh’s Maghar town. PM also speaks up on Triple Talaq that he wants to give justice to Muslim women by passing the law but opposition parties create obstacles that lead to the halt of the bill. Without directly pointing to the party he said: “Such political parties are not concerned about the welfare of the women of the Muslim community.”

While remembering and giving tribute to Indian legends he further stated that “It is the greed for power that those who imposed and those who opposed Emergency have come together today ... But these people are cut off from the ground realities and don’t know the nature of this nation of Sant Kabir, Mahatma Gandhi and Baba Ambedkar.”

After paying honour to the poet by offering ‘Chadar’ at poet Kabir’s ‘Mazar’, PM said that “He rose from the dust but was honoured by everyone. He became an expression from a person and from a mere word turned into the speech of Brahma. He came as a thought and became immortal as a way of life,”. He further added “My government is working relentlessly for the poor, Dalits, marginalised and deprived. Bank accounts have been opened for 5 crore persons, 1.25 crore toilets have been built and one crore people have been brought under the ambit of insurance.” Notably, Modi also recites Kabir’s ‘dohe’ at the event while taking a dig into the various comment of political leaders.
