After avoiding the media and rejecting the rumors of their marriage for quite some time now, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have officially tied the knot on December 11, in Milan, Italy. A Filmfare report submits that the wedding took place earlier on Monday morning in the closeness of  an intimate ceremony, in the presence of close family members and friends Kohli and Anushka started dating in 2013 after they met during the filming of a shampoo advert.

The duo made their first public debut a year later during a football match India has a long history of marriages between cricket players and movie stars.  Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma got united in Italy, ending weeks of frenzied speculation that they were getting hooked. The twosome will be treating a reception in New Delhi for their relatives on 21st December which will be followed by a reception for industry friends and cricketers in Mumbai on 26th December. As the Kohli and Anushka broke the news of their wedding, the couple's friends took to the social networking site Twitter to extend their warm wishes.
