World Cup football is also heading the hearts of Indian cricketers and the champion cricketer Yuvraj Singh is supporting France instead of his favorite team Brazil in the FIFA World Cup. The reason for this is their favorite player of Manchester United Paul Pogba who plays for France.

Yuvraj told the YouTube channel SportsScreenIndia, "I was with Brazil in the last few World Cups but this year I am supporting France. The reason for this is Paul Pogo who is player of Manchester United." Football enthusiasts, Yuvraj often go to Old Trafford to watch Manchester United's Premier League match.

The Indian team plays football even during practice. Yuvraj also commented on the soccer skills of some of his fellow players. The hero of India's World Cup 2011 win said, "Virat is very fit and can run fast but he cannot score. They have the skills but are not fine. They have to work on this."
He also said that Jaspreet Bumrah and Hardik Pandya are not made for football. He said, "Jaspreet Bumrah should not play football. Hardik Pandya is also a bad footballer. He will have to improve his game."

He said in a funny tone, "Rohit Sharma is a terrible football player. They pass the ball and do not move. Always stand on the off side. Zaheer Khan also does not want to run. Ashish Nehra does not want to play. Whenever we play football, he gets hurt." When asked about who is a good footballer, Yuvraj said, "Mahi (Dhoni) is the best footballer."
