Mumbai: A chartered plane has crashed near Jagruti building in Ghatkopar where construction work was going on as ANI reported.

One person has been reported dead in the crash while a number of others were also injured. Fire brigade teams have been rushed to the spot.

ANI said the chartered plane crashed near Jagruti building at Sarvodaya Nagar in Ghatkopar where construction work was in progress.  According to The Mumbai Police officials said further details are awaited. Times now reported that the chartered plane belonged to the Uttar Pradesh government and it crashed while it was landing.

 It is being told that one person died in the accident. The Chartered Plane crashed near the Jagruti Building, where the construction work is going on.
 According to NDTV The plane, a Beechcraft King Air C90 turboprop, reportedly belongs to the Uttar Pradesh government.

It crashed near Sarvodaya Nagar in Ghatkopar, next to a building under construction.
However, the number of passengers on this plane was not known. According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade, the accident took place in an open area in Ghatkopar area of Mumbai.
