Lahore: A shocking case of a security guard operating on a woman patient at a Pakistani hospital has come to light. The woman later died on Sunday. The local police have informed in this regard. The woman's name was Shamima Begum and she was 80 years old.

According to information received, a man named Mohammed Waheed Butt did operation to treat Shamima Begum's back wound in a government hospital a few days ago. Two weeks later, Shamima Begum died. On the other hand, an administrative officer of Mayo Hospital in Lahore, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said it was a big hospital. He said that we cannot keep an eye on what every doctor and anyone is doing here all the time.

At the same time, he said that it is not yet clear what kind of surgery the guard had performed in the operation theatre. Surprisingly, a qualified technician was also present at the time of the operation. It has come to light that Begum's family had also given money to Butt for the operation, when the patient started bleeding more and the pain increased, the family took her to the hospital twice. On reaching there, they came to know that they had been cheated. Her body has been kept for postmartem to find out if her. death was the result of complications caused by the failed surgery.
