Lucknow: A Ghaziabad businessman has been arrested for molesting an actress on a flight from Delhi to Mumbai. In her complaint to the police, the 40-year-old actress alleged that she was travelling from Delhi to Mumbai on October 3 when she was molested.

According to the actress, as soon as her flight landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Terminal, she got up to open overhead storage to remove the bag, during which she felt that someone had touched her incorrectly, which the actress reacted strongly and complained to the cabin crew. The cabin crew asked the actress to complain by mail. The actress then went to Versova police station and tried to register a case against the accused from where she was asked to go to Sahar airport police station.

However, the accused had also apologized to the actress. This has been confirmed by the cabin crew. The crew of the plane also forwarded the complaint made to the actress's mail at Sahar Airport police station. An investigation was launched into the case and police registered a case against a man named Nitin.  The accused was then arrested and produced before a local court on Monday from where the court remanded him to three days' custody.
