Bangalore: Bharat Forge Ltd and global aerospace and technology conglomerate, Paramount Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the development and production of Composite Rotor Blades, Mission Systems and Stores Management systems for Medium Lift Helicopters at Aero India, as oper official report on February 16.

"This MoU with M/S Paramount is a testimonial of our commitment to work towards a "Atmanirbhar Bharat," to produce technologies that are unique and shall support Indian and Global requirements," said Mr. Guru Biswal, CEO-Aerospace Division, Bharat Forge.

This partnership will concentrate on setting up an Indian "Centre of Excellence" for the design, development, and production of Composite Rotor Blades, Mission Systems, and Stores Management systems. All upcoming programmes for both India and the rest of the world will receive support from this design and manufacturing hub.

"Over the last five years, our global cooperation with Bharat Forge has grown from strength to strength," stated Clifford Dewell, SVP of Paramount Group. We are eager to extend our partnership within the aircraft industry.

"We are confident in this initiative's ability to make use of the special synergies between our combined expertise and address the needs for these technologies for Medium Lift Helicopters in India and around the world.

"Over the years, Paramount has provided Mission Systems and Stores Management systems to a number of defence units, including the South African and Algerian Air Forces," the company says. According to him, centres of excellence will be built to design and industrialise rotor blades for all types of helicopters.

 The partnership would offer a special opportunity for both parties to quicken qualification procedures and help both domestic and foreign clients. According to him, this MOU will aid in the realisation of the "Atmanirbhar Bharat" inititative.
